World Read Aloud Day, 5th February 2020
In celebration of Reading and Literacy, the library facilitated readings at 7 primary schools:
- Scarborough Methodist Primary School
- Delaford AC Primary School
- L’Anse Fourmi Methodist Primary School
- Plymouth AC Primary School
- Montgomery Government Primary School
- John Roberts Memorial School of SDA
- Buccoo Government Primary School
Selected Readers were:
- Mrs Rhea Richardson-George, former host of Tobago Channel 5 Rise and Shine Programme
- Ms Elizabeth Williams, TV 6 Reporter
- Mr Derryk ‘Brother B’ Braithwaite, current host of Tobago Channel 5 Rise and Shine Programme
- Mr Kleon McPherson, well-known spoken-word artiste
- Mrs Ayanna Webster Roy, Member of Parliament for Tobago East
- Ms Shamfa Cudjoe, Member of Parliament for Tobago West
- Ms Marisha Osmond, Assistant Secretary in the Division of Education, Innovation and Energy.
Tokens from Tobago Library Services were presented to each reader.
