World Read Aloud Day, 5th February 2020

In celebration of Reading and Literacy, the library facilitated readings at 7 primary schools:

  • Scarborough Methodist Primary School
  • Delaford AC Primary School
  • L’Anse Fourmi Methodist Primary School
  • Plymouth AC Primary School
  • Montgomery Government Primary School
  • John Roberts Memorial School of SDA
  • Buccoo Government Primary School

Selected Readers were:

  • Mrs Rhea Richardson-George, former host of Tobago Channel 5 Rise and Shine Programme
  • Ms Elizabeth Williams, TV 6 Reporter
  • Mr Derryk ‘Brother B’ Braithwaite, current host of Tobago Channel 5 Rise and Shine Programme
  • Mr Kleon McPherson, well-known spoken-word artiste
  • Mrs Ayanna Webster Roy, Member of Parliament for Tobago East
  • Ms Shamfa Cudjoe, Member of Parliament for Tobago West
  • Ms Marisha Osmond, Assistant Secretary in the Division of Education, Innovation and Energy.

Tokens from Tobago Library Services were presented to each reader.
