From Teen to Dad: Sharing a Skill- The Perfect Knot for Father’s Day

Our Young Adult Library recently hosted a special hands-on program where teens learned how to tie neckties, giving them a practical life skill while creating a meaningful connection with their families. 

 

Participants practiced several tie knots with guidance from Adult Library employee, Reuel Mitchell, building confidence and patience along the way.  

 

At the end of the session, the teens were encouraged to take their new skills home and help their fathers or father figures tie their ties, turning a simple lesson into an opportunity for bonding, appreciation, and shared experiences.
