From Teen to Dad: Sharing a Skill- The Perfect Knot for Father’s Day Our Young Adult Library recently hosted a special hands-on program where teens learned how to tie neckties, giving them a practical life skill while creating a meaningful connection with their families.  Participants practiced several tie knots with guidance from Adult Library employee, Reuel Mitchell, building confidence and patience along the way.   At the end of the session, the teens were encouraged to take their new skills home and help their fathers or father figures tie their ties, turning a simple lesson into an opportunity for bonding, appreciation, and shared experiences. Easter Vacation Highlights Easter Vacation Programme Highlights! The Eastlyn Mc Kenzie Children’s Library recently came alive with colour, creativity, and fun during its Easter Camp for children! Our young participants enjoyed activities including  painting, exciting games, crafts and hands-on creative sessions that sparked imagination and learning. From bright artwork to shared laughter and teamwork, the camp provided a wonderful space for children to explore, express themselves and make new friends. A big thank you to all the children, parents and facilitators who made this Easter programme such a success. We look forward to welcoming you again for m ore fun-filled library adventures in the future! Students enjoyed an engaging tour of the Scarborough Library Facility, exploring the many spaces and resources available to support their learning, creativity, and curiosity.
